Chance is a social-tech company that helps people find what they are made for. Its premise is that many talents are invisible — to the job market and often to the person themselves — especially for candidates without diplomas or conventional career paths. Chance offered a free coaching journey, partly automated and partly human, delivered at first through Facebook Messenger, and connected candidates with partner companies.
Ludovic de Gromard, Clémence Coghlan and Renan Devillières co-founded it. Ludovic had spent 2012 interviewing a thousand people across Asia and kept hearing the same thing: people struggled to understand what they were suited for. Chance was launched at the start of 2015 to answer that with a mix of psychology and artificial intelligence.
The company went on to raise from impact and venture investors, including a €5.6M round led by Zulu Group during the 2020 lockdown, and later a larger round in 2022. It exited at Series B.
