Cognyx wants manufacturers to design complex hardware at the speed software teams ship code — a “GitHub for hardware.” Its platform ingests product data from PLM and ERP systems, maps it into an R&D ontology stored in a knowledge graph, and uses AI on top of that graph so engineers can see the consequences of a design change across the whole product.
The company was founded in Paris in 2023 and co-built at OSS Ventures. It raised a first round in July 2024 with investors including Bpifrance, ISAI, Kima Ventures, Redpoint Ventures and Autotech Ventures.
