OSS Ventures is a venture studio and fund that builds B2B software companies for manufacturing, supply chain and industrial operations. It started in 2018 as OPEO Startup Studio, founded by five partners with backgrounds in manufacturing and consulting, and took its current name as it grew. The model is co-building: OSS finds a validated operational problem, recruits the founders, secures an industrial anchor client, and is the founding investor and working partner through the first years of the company.
The thesis is that operations — the factories, sites and supply chains that make up a large share of GDP — are where software still has the most room to create value, and that the people who run them are underserved by generic enterprise suites. Industrial companies invest alongside the studio because they face the problems its startups solve.
Since 2018 the studio has launched more than twenty companies, several of which are described on the other pages of this section. In 2021 OSS raised €8.5M for the studio; in 2026 it announced the first closing of a €75M fund to back its companies' growth, with Decathlon PULSE and Teknor Apex among its partners, alongside historical investors such as Groupe Peugeot Frères.
