Vitesse describes itself as a universal physical-AI platform for industrial machines. It connects heterogeneous equipment — robots, CNCs, PLCs and legacy assets from Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, KUKA, ABB and others — normalises their data, and generates and deploys control logic from a plain description, far faster than traditional PLC programming.
It was founded as Full Speed Automation by Luc Leroy, the former head of core automation engineering at Tesla, who helped get the first Fremont factory out of “production hell.” OSS Ventures invested in 2022. In January 2024 Full Speed Automation acquired Niagara, another OSS company, and became Vitesse Automation.
